New Delhi 12 August (Bureau)- Deep resentment has been noticed amongst the Sikh Sangat after the closure of Guru Tegh Bahadur Polytechnic Institute, Vasant Vihar and Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, Rajouri Garden that stimulate them to participate in large number in the demonstration held by Shiromani Akali Dal at Hari Nagar, said Mr. Paramjit Singh Sarna, President Shiromani Akail Dal Delhi while addressing to the media persons here today.
Manjit Singh G.K. on the recommendations of Badal family has appointed Avtar Singh Hit, Chairman of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, Rajouri Garden and his Son in Law, Chairman of Guru Tegh Bahadur Polytechnic Institute, Vasant Vihar. The trio have adopted such bad administrative policies that ultimately shut down these prestigious Sikh higher technical educational institutions.
With the closure of these institutions thousand of Sikh students have been deprived of by the Badal Dal from getting admissions in these institutions on privileges and have also put the future of the present Sikh students of these institutions into dark said Mr. Sarna.
The demonstration held by Badal Dal in front of the residence of HRD Minister was to distract the attention of the Sikh Sangat from this serious issue. It is beyond understanding that Badal Dal has an alliance with the BJP which is in power at the centre and Badal's daughter in Law is a minister in the central government in that situation Manjit Singh G.K. and workers of the Badal Dal have been alleging the government for discriminating and targeting the Sikh minority educational institutions to shut them down. This creates doubt in the minds of the Sikh Sangat that why Badal Dal is keeping alliance with the BJP when HRD Ministry is discriminating and targeting the Sikh minority educational institutions.
Mr. Sarna said that now the Sikh Sangat has fully understood that the policy of Badal Dal is to hold unnecessary demonstrations and show crocodile tears to divert the attention of the Sangat from the serious Sikh issues. The Sanagat will teach then a befitted lesion at appropriate time.
