Jalandhar 24 September (Jaswinder Azad)- An impressive function was organized to mark the Foundation day of the NSS by the NSS Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College under the guidance of Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra wherein the students were informed about the history of NSS. Prof. Prabh Dyal, the coordinator of NSS, welcomed Principal Dr. G.S. Samra to function. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. G.S. Samra informed the students that former Education Minister of our country Dr. V.K.R.V. Rao established the NSS units in 37 Universities. He also stressed the role played the NSS in building the all round personality of a student and inspiration it provides for a selfless service of the community. Prof. Surinderpal Mand, the program officer of the NSS thanked Principal Dr. G.S. Samra and other volunteers for attending the function. Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi, Prof. Manjinder Singh Johal and other senior members of the staff also attended the function.
