Jalandhar 2 September (Jaswinder Azad)- In the first in series of Meet The Editor Program, organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, GNDU Regional Campus, at Ladhewali here today, Dr. Virendar Walia, Editor of Punjabi Jagran, interacted with the students of Departement on different issues related to media. Mr Walia shared his experiences as a journalist, editor and media teacher. He discussed how mastery over language is a must for any journalist as well as three H’s- Hard Work, Honesty and Humbleness. He said that the journalists should be very cautious while taking risks. Adherence to journalistic ethics cannot be ignored in any way. Satyam , Shivam, Sundaram should be the motto for journalists He told many anecdotes about his early journalism days and how things have changed over the years.
Earlier, Dr. Kamlesh Singh Duggal, Professor, introduced the chief guest. Dr. Namarta Joshi, Head of the Department, delivered the vote of thanks and hoped that such interactions will continue in future. Ms. Savita Dhamija and Ms. Shopita Khurana were also present on the occasion.
