Jalandhar 19 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar the pioneer institution of women education, always takes initiatives in organizing various Educational Trips to enhance knowledge and overall personality of its students. In keeping with this tradition, P.G. Dept. of Commerce and Business Administration organized an Educational Trip to 36th India International Trade Fair (IITF), New Delhi to make the student familiar with practical aspects of business. On Special invitation given by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), students along with Faculty members of Commerce Dept. participated in inaugural ceremony of India International Trade Fair (IITF). Students were given information about the Trading Mechanism of Stock Exchanges by National Stock Exchange (NSE) and they were also made aware of various investment schemes for the retail investors. Some students got themselves registered as young investors. Various other places like, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, Red Fort, Qutub Minar were also visited by students. They came to know about the Indian culture and tradition by visiting these places. The entire visit was very informative and provided students with deep insight of practical implications of theoretical knowledge. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of the department and encouraged the students to expand their horizons.
