CT Group organised Awareness Camp

The camp was organised under NSS Cell and Science Club of CT College of Education
Jalandhar 30 September (Jaswinder Azad)- NSS Cell and Science Club of CT College of Education organized an “Awareness Camp” regarding health, hygiene and sanitation among poor and illiterate people in the slum areas of Jalandhar. Through interaction and seminars they were given the knowledge of the importance of healthy living. Counseling was given regarding DRUG ADDICTION- the social evil that is prevailing in our society. Students aware the residents against the usage of Drug, they said city is teeming with victims of the drug trade and tormentors too. Houses have been destroyed, husbands and sons have been lost and in some areas even mothers and grandmothers have fallen prey to the drug menace. They said that the camp was organized with an aim to spread the message of dedication to national security, awareness against drugs, besides urging citizens to stay fit. Dr. Namesh Kumar (Principal, CT College of Education) applauded the students for their efforts, he said, “Apart from the major social activities under NSS programs, the group initiates & organizes various health camps and provides facilities for care & solace to the people in their location with an objective of providing preventive & diagnostic medical health management under the supervision of specialties. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) congratulated the students for their initiative towards the betterment of society.
