Jalandhar 26 December (Jaswinder Azad)- Kaushal Kendra of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar has organized 18 days Free Jagriti Winter Camp from December 19, 2016 to January 6, 2017. In this free camp ladies and girls of the region participating enthusiastically in computer, cooking, stitching, script writing, personality development classes etc. Under this camp the Department of Home Science is running cookery classes, yoga and gym and health checkup classes in which almost 100 ladies and girls have registered themselves. In cookery classes they have learnt the process of making date cakes, pan cakes, dhokla and many more delicious dishes. In Yoga and Gym classes knowledge regarding various Yoga Asanas and exercise techniques is provided to the students. The participants are also getting knowledge about height, weight, blood pressure, body muscles and importance of diet planning in health checkup classes.
