Jalandhar 1 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Filled with exuberance and vibrance, near about 700 students from 30 schools across Punjab exhibited their talent at Tech Fest 2017 organized by Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. Dr. Shruti Shukla, Deputy Director, State Council of Education Research and Training, Punjab illumined the occasion as the Chief Guest. An annual feature of Apeejay i.e. Tech Fest provides a platform to youngsters to exhibit their talents. The talented students from various schools participated in diverse competitions related to Information Technology, Creativity, Literary items, Fine Arts, Home Science and Mobile Technology etc.
In the inaugural ceremony, college students mesmerized the audience with their melodious voice in western vocal performance and intoxicated everyone with folk cum bollywood orchestra. Anadi Mishra a singer in the making won hearts of the audience with his tuneful voice. Along with the pleasant weather of the day, zeal of participating students simultaneously found expression in their performances.
Dr. Shruti Shukla felt elated to see the talent of youngsters and said students have showcased creativity and innovation through their talents. She encouraged the students that participation is the root to build a successful career and performing on stage does not define a person’s personality but a person’s performance in nation’ development earns him a fame. She further extended her views that youth is the power house of India and only the contribution of youngsters can transform India into a developed nation.
Principal Dr. Sucharita welcomed the brigade of youngsters and expressed her gratitude to Dr. Shruti Shukla for her benign presence. She said in this era of cut-throat competition a person needs to overcome every obstacle to touch the pinnacles of glory. She further said Tech Fest of the College provides a platform to the young aspirants to exhibit their talent and polish their professional skills which can pave way for their successful career.
