Jalandhar 21 January (Gurkirat Singh)- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar was seen fully draped in patriotism during the Republic Day celebrations organized by Department of Student Welfare and Department of Philosophy. A programme was organized in the central lawn in which various events like Modelling, Face Painting, Songs, Speeches, Skit, Dances, poem recitation etc. were flawlessly showcased by the students. Posters made by the students on the theme of patriotism were also displayed during the occasion. The students of all faculties participated in the celebrations with great zeal and enthusiasm. In her address Madam Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi exhorted the students to take pride in our nation and to serve our motherland by acting as responsible citizens. She lauded Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Student Welfare, Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, Dr. Neetu Chopra and Mrs. RashmiRandev, Head Department of Philosophy for organizing this meaningful activity.
