Jalandhar 1 February (Gurkirat Singh)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated Basant Panchmi with a lot of Zeal and enthusiasm. The department of Music gave homage to Goddess Saraswati by reciting Saraswati Vandana, chanting bhajans and shabad. Goddess Saraswati is the goddess of intellect and learning and its worship plays a very important role in student life. To inculcate this spirit in students, a rich and vivid colourful programme was organized in which faculty members from the department of Music and students participated enthusiastically. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sucharita gave blessings to the students and said that this festival marks the arrival of spring and falls on the fifth day of spring. She said that on this day goddess Saraswati is worshipped and this festival gives us the message to be optimistic, full of vibrance and vitality.
