Jalandhar 30 May (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, a pioneer institute dedicated to the cause of women empowerment for 90 years and well known for its unique initiatives organized a Summer Finishing School for the students under the visionary guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Sareen said that the finishing school was meant to enable the girl students to have a fun-filled learning experience and train them in various fields of skill enhancement and personality development. Such initiatives are intended to increase the confidence of girls and make them self-reliant as well. During the 15 day finishing school, students learnt numerous innovative things in the area of cooking, cosmetology, home science, table manners, fitness and well-being, stitching, moral education, gift wrapping, bouquet making etc. The finishing school elicited a great response from the students and they learnt with great zeal and enthusiasm to make the most of this unique opportunity. The valedictory event witnessed renewed vigor amongst the girls and they requested for more of such endeavors to hone and polish them. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the students and Dean Innovations, Mrs. Ramnita and Dr. Anjana Bhatia for their zealous participation. The assistance extended by Mrs. Sudarshan Kang, Mrs. Neeti sood, Mrs. Cheena, Mrs. Bindu, Tanisha, and Shallu for organization of the finishing school was also appreciated by the Principal.
