Jalandhar 21 June (Gurkirat Singh)- The students and staff of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated ‘International Yoga day’ at local Lord Mahavir Jain Model School on Wednesday morning. The students of NCC wings of the college led by their in-charge Prof. Jaideep Inder Kaur and NSS in-charge Dr. Gurpreet Kaur participated in the event. Admiral Rajinder Mehta of 8PBN Battalion, Phagwara was the chief guest at the event. Speaking on the occasion, Adm. Mehta encouraged the students to make yoga an integral part of their lives so that they could lead their life in a stress-free manner. Principal of Lord Mahavir Jain Model School Mr. Nirkesh Sharma conducted the entire event. College Principal Dr. Kiran Walia talked about the importance and benefits of Yoga and congratulated the participating students. The students of various schools and colleges of Phagwara participated in the event.
