Jalandhar 29 August (Jaswinder Azad)- The Planning Forum of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a one day workshop on Excel Modeling. The resource person of the workshop was Dr. Harpreet Singh Bedi, Associate Prof., School of Business and COD Training and Placement at Lovely Professional University. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen gave a floral welcome to the resource person. During the workshop, Dr. Bedi equipped the students with the ability to analyze big data sets and to develop an insight for strategic decision making. Various important functions like data command, data functions, series autofil, text functions, filters, pivot table and pivot charts were explained in very lucid and interesting manner. About 100 students of B.A. Economics and B.Sc. Economics attended the workshop and practiced analytical tools and functions. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of Deptt. of Economics for organizing the workshop and stressed on the need to channelize the energy of students towards innovative research work. Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Incharge Planning Forum concluded the workshop with vote of thanks. On this occasion, HOD Mrs. Chandrika, Miss Shallu Batra, Ms. Harmanu and Ms. Rinku were also present.
