Jalandhar 20 July (Gurkirat Singh)- To mark the beginning of the new academic session 2017-18 and seek the grace of Almighty, Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus today organised a havan in the premises. The prayer service (havan) was conducted by renowned Pandit Suresh Bharadwaj. Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of the institution said, “ This prayer service is organised to pay our thanks to the Almighty and seek His blessings before the commencement of the new session. I believe that such prayer service purifies our souls, cleanses us of all negativity and makes us start afresh with rejuvenated spirits. The teachers and staff chanted Gayatri Mantra and other shalokas. He also elucidated the significance of chanting Gayatri Mantra saying that this divine prayer spirals through the entire universe. It begins with the chanter who prays for peace and wisdom and gets pervaded in the entire universe”. One of the teachers expressed, “As we bow before God in remembrance, we are filled with renewed vigour and strength.” On this occasion, Dr. Bagga stressed on the harmonious development of students and quoted Mahatma Gandhi's views on real education: “By education I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in child and man-body, mind and spirit.” In the end, prasad was distributed among faculty members of the institute.
