Experts guided the IAS aspirants to select best optional subjects in their Graduation
Jalandhar 28 August (Jaswinder Azad)- In order to guide aspirants for civil service examinations, CT Group of Institutions conducted a workshop on Civil Services Preparation workshop at its Shahpur Campus. Experts guided the students to choose the subject that makes their concentration level more viable in Graduation studies as well as if they are preparing for IAS examinations. Ms. Meenakshi, IAS (Additional CEO, Officer of Jalandhar Cantonment Board), Sh. J.S. Tiwana (Judicial CJM legal cum Secretary of District legal Authority), Dr. Deepak Bhatia (Asst. Commissioner, General), Dr. Raman Chawla (CareMax Hospital), Adv. Kanwarjeet Singh (Former President, DBA) and Mr. Bhavneet Singh (Advocate at NGO) were the experts those guided the aspirants. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) and Dr. G.S. Kalra (Campus Director, Shahpur, CT Group of Institutions) welcomed the experts at the event.
Ms. Meenakshi, IAS (Additional CEO, Officer of Jalandhar Cantonment Board) guided the students that the IAS examinations include two types of tests- Preliminary and Main Examination. The preliminary exam is of 400 marks having two Multi Choice Question based tests of 200 marks each, while the main exam is of 2075 marks having nine subjects. She said, “Students should read good informative books.”
Sh. J.S. Tiwana (Judicial CJM legal cum Secretary of District legal Authority) said that PCS examination is done on the basis of Merit. The applicant who topped the examination get the opportunity to get the position of SDM whereas the other ones get the positions of Excise and BDO. He asked the students to read motivational books that can help them to achieve their aim with high motivation in their mind and soul.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) said that the workshop has been very fundamental for the students. He said, “Many students are the aspirants of IAS, want to apply and serve the desired positions but it is the lack of guidance that hinders them to achieve their goal of life. This workshop was a platform to guide such aspirants for the same.”
