Jalandhar 30 September (Jaswinder Azad)- On a special drive launched upon the directions issued by Sh. Arpit Shukla, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Zone-II, Jalandhar and Sh. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) against the anti social elements under the supervision of Sh. Balkar Singh, PPS, SP/Investigation and Sh. Surinder Mohan, PPS, DSP/Investigation, the Jalandhar (Rural) Police achieved a major success when Inspr. Harinder Singh, In-charge CIA-I Staff of this district alongwith police party arrested 05 notorious gangsters belonging to Gurpreet Singh Sekhon and Chanpreet Singh @ Channa gang from village Chak Kalan falling in the area of jurisdiction of PS Sadar Nakodar. This gang was specialized in looting luxury cars at highway and committing robberies. The arrested gangsters are identified as Kala Singh (Aged about 36 years) s/o Piara Singh r/o village Gumti Kalan, PS Bhagta Bhai Ke, district Bathinda, Jaswinder Singh Kabaddi (Aged about 25 years) s/o Bakhshinder Singh r/o village Meripur, PS Sultanpur Lodhi, district Kapurthala, Daljit Singh @ Lali (Aged about 22 years) s/o Sukhdev Singh r/o village Kothaguru, Presently resident of Opposite Bus Stand, PS Bhagta Bhai Ke, Bathinda, Bhupinder Singh @ Bhinda (Aged about 25 years) s/o Salwinder Singh r/o village Meripur, PS Sultanpur Lodhi, district Kapurthala and Jaspreet Singh @ Jassa (Aged about 26 years) s/o Karamjit Singh r/o village Padhiana, PS Adampur, Jalandhar. One Pistol 7.65 bore alongwith 05 live cartridges, One Pistol 315 Bore alongwith 03 live cartridges, One 12 Bore DBBL Gun alongwith 10 live cartridges and one white colored EON Car bearing fake registration number plate was recovered from their possession. In this regard case FIR No. 325 dated 28-09-2017 u/s 392/395/379-B/482/148/149/120-B IPC, 25 Arms Act was registered in PS Sadar Nakodar. The arrested gangsters on the instigation of Gurpreet Singh Sekhon and Chanpreet Singh @ Channa hatched a conspiracy to liberate one gangster namely Ramandeep Singh @ Rummy Mashana s/o Jarnail Singh r/o village Mashana, district Bathinda from the police custody while he was to be produced in the court.

It is worth mentioning here that against the abovementioned accused already a number of cases have been registered in various police stations. During the course of preliminary investigation it has been revealed that accused Jaswinder Singh @ Kabaddi s/o Bakhshinder Singh r/o village Meripur, PS Sultanpur Lodhi, district Kapurthala, who remained in Kapurthala Jail for 23 months came in contact with Gurpreet Singh Sekhon r/o Mudki, who was the mastermind behind the Nabha Jail breakthrough. Since then Gurpreet Singh Sekhon alongwith his accomplice gangster Chanpreet Singh @ Channa r/o Gardhiwala, district Hoshiarpur who was also undergoing sentence in Kapurthala Jail are getting their work done through Jaswinder Singh @ Kabaddi. Many more gangsters are part of this gang.
On the instigation of Gurpreet Singh Sekhon and Chanpreet Singh @ Channa r/o Gardhiwala, district Hoshiarpur about one month ago Jaswinder Singh @ Kabaddi alongwith his accomplices hatched a conspiracy to liberate one dreaded gangster Ramandeep Singh @ Rummy Mashana. There is about 28 cases of murder, snatching/looting, intention to murder, dacoities etc. are registered against Ramandeep Singh @ Rummy Mashana in various police station of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and other states. The part of the plan was to release Rummy from police custody by attacking on the police party and snatching the pistol from police official while he was to be produced in the court and further drop him at Moga. Three attempts on various occasions were made to liberate Ramandeep Singh @ Rummy Mashana but all the time they failed. Moreover, this gang also snatched number of cars on gun point at highway.
It is also worth mentioning here that some days ago, 02 notorious gangsters namely Karamdeep Singh @ Kamma s/o Baldev Singh r/o village Mehraj, PS Rampura Phool, district Bathinda and Harmanpreet Singh @ Harman s/o Amrik Singh r/o village Bhundar, PS Balianwali, district who were arrested for firing at the police party were also members of this gang. The duo were also involved in the abovementioned conspiracy.

Accused Kala Singh s/o Piara Singh r/o village Gumti kalan, PS Bhagta Bhai Ke, district Bathinda during preliminary investigation revealed that his age is about 36 years. He is married one and have one son and one daughter from his marriage. He further revealed that he is working as a veterinary pharmacist in various village of Bathinda and earlier also a case of kidnapping and demanding ransom is registered against him. He disclosed that he remained for 03 months in Bahinda Jail for this act.

He revealed that in the year 2015 a case under section 306 IPC was registered against him in PS Fattu Dhinga. He remained for 23 months in jail and was released on bail.

Accused Jaspreet Singh @ Jassa s/o Karamjit Singh r/o village Padhiana, PS Adampur, district Jalandhar during preliminary investigation revealed that his age is about 26 years and he is 10th class pass. He further revealed that about he remained in Kapurthala Jail for 01 years and was released on bail and thereafter he started working as a labourer in GNA Factory at Mehtiana. He dislosed that in the year 2016 he alongwith his accomplices looted Rs. 06 lac from the worker of Makkar Petrol Pump in Bhogpur. In the said case he alongwith his accomplices were arrested by the police and sent to jail. In the jail he came in contact with Jaswinder Singh @ Kabaddi r/o Meripur.

He further revealed that he is married one and has one kid from this marriage. He disclosed that his family has disinherited him from property and is jobless.

Accused Bhupinder Singh @ Bhinda s/o Salwinder Singh r/o village Meripur, PS Sultanpur Lodhi, district Kapurthala during preliminary investigation revealed that his age is about 25 years and he is senior Secondary pass. He further revealed that he worked for 02 years in Abu Dhabi and has returned to India and came in contact with jaswinder Singh @ Kabaddi.
