Jalandhar 1 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The Youth Red Cross Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized an awareness seminar for students on Prevention of Dengue/Malaria and Chikungunya in collaboration with Civil Hospital, Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed S. Raghubir Singh Randhawa, Civil Surgeon, Jalandhar and his medical associates. Dr. Randhawa stressed on the need of maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness of surroundings and healthy diet. He suggested teachers and students to spread awareness about the disease among the public. The district epidemiologist Dr. Satish Kumar explained about the preventive measures to be taken for dengue. He told that there should not be any stagnant water in coolers, waste tyres and pots etc. Dr. Preet Kawal also shared his views about prevention of Swine flu. It was an educative seminar in which all the participants showed their keen interest. Mrs. Deepshikha, Incharge Red Cross Society thanked the team of doctors for sharing the valuable information. Dr. Aarti Sharma and Dr. Santosh Khanna were also present.
