K.M.V. celebrates Eco-friendly Diwali

Jalandhar 17 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar's  Dept. of Student welfare and P.G. Dept. of English celebrated Eco friendly Diwali. The celebrations started with a carnival. The students with painted faces and masks, placards and chanting of slogans made it loud and clear that it is high time we started taking initiatives for protecting the environment. Then a Nukkad Natak portraying  the same theme was presented by the students of B.Sc. Med. Many students expressed there views in the form of speeches and poems. Then they pinned batches on teachers and student counveying the message of saving environment and celebeating eco friendly diwali. The students also distributed cards and displayed posters and slogans with the endeavour to spread the message of pollution free diwali celebrations. Madam Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the initative of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean student welfare, Ms. Seema Jain, Head, Dept. of  English, Ms.Rashmi Sharma, Dr. Neetu Chopra and Dr. Deepika . She averred that realizing the worth of environment is the foremost duty of educated people. Students at K.M.V. realize their onus and continue spreading messages to create a pollution free environment. The whole atmosphere was abuzz with the message and students were successful in creating environment awareness.
