Jalandhar 5 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar Gandhian studies centre celebrated Ghandhi Jayanti in a befilting manner by organizing a social out reach programme at the charitable school adopted by them. The students were elaboratrly and interestingly told about the health benefits of hygine and sanitation. They were educated regarding how to keep their environment clean. Required books and stationary was also distributed during the occasion. Young boys and girls sang patriotic songs close to the heart of the father of our Nation. It is noteworthy here that the school has been adopted since 2009 by the centre and organizing social outreach programmes on prominent-national festivals is an annual feature. The centre organises regular workshops and programmes at the school. The college regulary gives an input of as per required itmes like table & chairs for the students as per their requirement Dr. Monica Sharma, Director, Gandhian studies Centre and Dr. Gurjot Kaur interected with the children. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended warm greetings on the occasion and congratulated the winners of various compitions organized during the day. She also congratulated the organising team for the good work done regulary.
