Jalandhar 5 October (Jaswinder Azad)- The NCC Air Wing Unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organised a tree plantation drive wherein the cadets actively participated and planted saplings in the college campus. The drive was directed towards creating awareness among youth to help protect the environment by planting more and more trees. Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that environment protection was the need of the hour as the earth was facing a serious threat in the form of environmental pollution. He said that awareness regarding the menace needed to be spread in the society and the plantation drive was an attempt in that direction. The occasion witnessed the presence of PI Staff 1PB Air Sqn NCC Jalandhar JWO - A. Karmakar & CPL - R Varma in addition to the senior teachers of the college. Vote of thanks was on the occasion was presented by Prof. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Incharge College NCC wing. Prof. Manohar Singh Head Computer Science & IT, Prof. Baldev Singh, Dr. Harjit Singh, Prof. Gagandeep Singh were also present in this occasion.
