Jalandhar 5 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College added another feather into its glorious list of accomplishments as the college has attained the first runners up trophy in the Zonal and Inter Zonal Youth Festivals of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra along with the entire participant contingent of the college and the staff members associated with various teams met President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur and Joint Secretary Jaspal Singh Waraich and handed over the trophy for the cabinet of college honors.
Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra informed in detail about all the participants, team in charges and other teachers and their positions in different events. Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students, team in charges, teachers and credited the achievement to the grace of God, the hard work put in by the students, team in charges and the guidance of Principal Dr. GS Samra. A note of thanks was also put forth to Dr. Rachhpal Singh Sandhu (Dean, Cultural Activities) for his valuable contribution. Principal Dr. GS Samra also informed about some of the outstanding students from the event notably Jaswinder Singh and Jaisanprit Singh (Bhangra), Jatinder Kaur (Giddha),Rajwant Kaur and Umaish Jaiswal (One Act Play), Lovepreet Maan and Mansa Singh (Instrument) and their recognition through the best performance awards. President Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Jaspal Singh Waraich and Principal Dr. Samra honored the victorious students and the team in-charges.
Also present on the occasion were Prof. Ahuja Sandeep, Prof. Harjit Singh, Prof. Navjot Kaur, Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Pavitar Pal, Prof. Daljit Singh, Prof. Mansi Chopra, Prof. Jasneet Kaur, Prof. Palwinder Singh, Prof. Surinderpal Mand, Prof. Harjinder Singh, Prof. Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Prof. Kritika Khanna, Prof. Gurpriya Waraich and other faculty members associated with various activities.
