Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar clinches North Zone Youth Festival Trophy

Jalandhar 16 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Representing Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, the talented young brigade of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar has once again ruled the roost in North Zone Youth Festival. The students of the College have brought laurels not only to the College but also to the University. The North Zone Youth Festival was organized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) from 12th January to 16th January 2018 at Maharishi Markendshwar University, Mulana, Ambala in Haryana.
Dr. Sucharita, Principal lauded the untiring efforts of Dr. Amita Mishra, Dean, Youth Welfare Department of the College. She added that not only the students of Music but also those of Theatre and Fine Arts have been benefitted by her unstinted guidance and support. The Apeejayites showcased their worth in the Musical events of Classical Vocal, Classical Percussion, Classical Non Percussion, Gazal, Western Vocal Solo, Western Group Song, Indian Group Song and Folk Orchestra. Students of Theatre made the mark of excellence in the competitions like One Act Play, Skit, Mime, Mimicry. The students of Fine Arts garnered glory in the events of Cartooning, Clay Modelling, Collage, Rangoli, On the Spot Photography, Installation and Classical Dance too. In a nutshell, North Zone was a triumph of Apeejay’s tour de force.
•    Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar will participate in 12 items in National Youth Festival.
Overall Music Trophy has been bagged by GNDU in North Zone Youth Festival.
