Jalandhar 29 January (Gurkirat Singh)- Prof S.K. Midda of DAV College has brought laurel to his college by clinching the award of “Best NSS Officer of the District” on the occasion of Republic Day. Prof. S.K. Midda is prof. Of DAV. College of Punjabi department and is also Coordinator of NSS. The award was conferred to him on 26 January on Republic Day by Rana KP Singh, Speaker of the Punjab Assembly. Rana KP Singh was accompanied by Police Commissioner, P.K. Sinha, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma and other dignatories. During Swatrch Bharat Mission Programme the contribution of his work he was appreciated. Prof.S.K. Midda told that receiving this award was a matter of proud to him. He also said that contributing to Swatch Bharat Abhiyan programme is duty of every Indian citizen because of this India will be clean, healthy and will also be beautiful for everyone. And he also enlightens students with the same message. He dedicated his award to college, his collegues and to students who helped him during his work and adds that this award was the fruit of everyones hardwork. Principal Dr. S. K. Arora expressing his happiness on this occasion, giving his best wishes to prof.S.K. Midda and said that he is proud of the district's best NSS officer's honor for DAV College. Prof. Midda always performs his work with full sincerity and hard work and it is the result of this same effort.
