Jalandhar 14 March (Jaswinder Azad)- The Students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar participated in Dhee Punjab Di competition held at Rahon, Ludhiana. Out of total seven KMV participants 4 cleared the first round and 3 students made it to the finals. Ms. Pardeep Kaur of B.A. 6th sem won the first prize and bagged the title of Dhee Punjab Di. The award included cash prize of Rs. 51,000. Vibrant phulkari and a citation. Ms Navroop Kaur of B.Com 2nd sem won the title Sohna Mukhda and Ms. Amandeep Kaur of B.A. 4th sem was awarded the title Sohna Pehrawa, out of a total of 76 participants. KMVites are constantly becoming successful in different competitions with the grooming and confidence given by the college. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was elated at this marvelous achievement of the students. She expressed extreme pride at the hardwork put in by the students as well as the teachers who mentored them, while hoping that this string of laurels will continue in the future too. She said that the college will continue to support its students to reach heights in each area.
