Jalandhar 20 March (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar imparting unconventional, quality education is a consistent process. Recently an educational visit to the National Institute of Securities Market (NISH) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Mumbai was organized for the students of M.Com, B.Com, B.B.A. by the P.G.Department of Commerce and Business Administration as a part of outdoor training. Students were exposed to real-time trading at Bombay Stock Exchange at Dalal Street. Established in 1875, it is Asia's first stock-exchange market. The young scholars also got an opportunity to attend a 3 day programme on Overview of Securities Market conducted by National Institute of Securities Market established by Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to professionalize the securities market. The institute is reputed for enhancing the quality of securities market and participation through sustained capacity building and knowledge dissemination . NISM's team of experts explained at length about primary,Secondary market, Corporate governance and depositories in India. Real time trading was done in a simulation Lab at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Adding to the already thrilling and exciting experience was the visit to tourists' spots in Mumbai like Marine Drive, Sidhi Vinayak Temple, Juhu Beach, Haji Ali, Gateway of India etc. The young scholars came back to respond that it was an overall wonderful experience which blended learning with pleasure beautifully. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the young scholars on having assimilated precious practical exposure so well and positively. She also congratulated the P.G. Department of Commerce & Business Administration on having organized such a fruitful venture.
