Jalandhar 23 March (Jaswinder Azad)- An impressive program on the Martydom Day of Shaheed S. Bhagat Singh was organized by the PG Department of History, Lyallpur Khalsa College. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Gurvinder Singh UK, Incharge ‘Cancer Roko’ Program were the chief Guests for this occasion. They were duly welcomed to the program by Dr. Suman Chopra, Head, PG Department of History. Students paid their tributes to the martyrs through presentations such as Songs, Poetry and Skits. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra emphasized the need to follow the footsteps of such martyrs for the development of our nation and society. Gurvinder Singh UK also presented facts and highlights from the life of Bhagat Singh. Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Dean, Academic Affairs and Dr. Sukhbir Singh from the Department of Punjabi also shared their views on the subject. The vote of thanks was presented by by Dr. Suman Chopra, Head, PG Department of History. The program was also attended by Prof. Manpreet kaur, Prof. Arunijit Kaur, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Dr. Balraj Kaur, Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Sandeep Kaur and Prof. Sandeep Kumar. Stage was conducted by students of the department namely Rahul Batra and Jatinder Kaur.
