Jalandhar 9 June (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya has always been a pioneer in the field of women education. Keeping this spirit high, the college has taken another important step in making the women self-reliant and tech-savvy. HMV is organizing a computer workshop for Women Constables of Punjab Police from 11th to 16th June in two batches. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen told that this workshop is being organized by the PG Department of Computer Science and IT of the college. About 300 women constables of Punjab Police will be participating in the workshop. There will be two batches. The participants will be made to learn MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point Presentation. The resource persons of the workshop will be the faculty members of the Computer Science department. Principal Prof. Dr. Sareen said that being tech-savvy is the need of the hour. It is the right of every woman to learn new things in the best possible way. It is a joint effort of Police Administration and the college to make the women constables learns the basics of computer. She further added that in the end of the workshop, a test of the participants will also be held and they will be certified by the college on the basis of this test.
