Computer Workshop for Women Constables inaugurated at HMV

Jalandhar 11 June (Jaswinder Azad)- Taking one more step in the field of women empowerment, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya inaugurated a 6 days Computer Workshop for Women Constables in collaboration with Police Administration.  This workshop will be held from 11th to 16th June in 2 batches.  The workshop was inaugurated by ADCP Headquarters and Security PPS Mr. Guatam Singhal.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Head of Computer Deptt. Dr. Sangeeta Arora.  Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen talked about women empowerment and stressed on the need of being Tech-Savy.  She said that it is very important for women to know about technology, only then she will be able to make her family aware about the same.  Mr. Gautam Singhal appreciated the effort of HMV and said that women have the right of equality.  Women should be Tech-Savy so that they are not befooled under Cyber Crime.  Head of Computer Deptt. Dr. Sangeeta Arora shared the schedule of the 6 days workshop and said that the participants will be given training about MS word and MS Excel.  There will be a written test, on the basis of which certificates will be given to the participants.  She said that operating computer is not a complicated task.  We can use it like any other social platform. On this occasion, all the teachers of Computer Science and IT department were present as resource persons.
