Jalandhar 7 June (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar is offering many diplomas to the students after +2. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV averred that these one year Diplomas will lay bare many job avenues for the pursuants . As Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has again created history by becoming the first and only women autonomous college of north India, we have upgraded the syllabi of all courses with 21st century skills and have introduced new age innovative job-oriented programmes with focus on skill development. Diplomas in Medical Lab Technology and Early Childhood Care & Education have been introduced this session. Job avenues after Diploma in Medical Lab Technology are multifarious. One can become a Medical technician, Medical Technologist, Laboratory Incharge, QC Manager, QA Manager, Lab consultant, Lab Supervisor, Health Care Administrator, Laboratory, Information System Analyst, Health and Safety Officer after doing this Diploma. After doing one year Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education students can get placed as counsellors in schools and hospitals, find jobs as family support specialist, in child care centre and as home-based service provider, family support specialist etc. This diploma is a preferred specialization for settlement abroad. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi further averred that along with these two new diplomas, the other Diplomas which will enhance students’ skill and job employability are Diplomas in Cosmetology, Computer Applications, Textile Design, Fashion Designing etc. The students after doing these diplomas can pursue higher education and can become employable if they choose so.
