CT Group supports ban on plastic bags, distributes free cloth bags

Jalandhar 1 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Enforcing the ban on the use of plastic bags, CT Group of Institutions is supporting the decision of Municipal Corporation in curbing the usage of polythene bags by starting a campaign of distributing free cloth bags.
Around 200 cloth bags which are eco-friendly have been distributed to the students and faculty of Shahpur campus. The campaign will be continued for a week in which cloth bags will be distributed to the majority of the students, staff and faculty of all campuses of the Group, including schools.
Telling about the campaign, Managing Director, Mr. Manbir Singh said, “This campaign has been initiated primarily to educate people regarding the no use of plastic or polythene bags because of its harmful effects to the nature.”
He further stated that the campaign will be continued till the majority of the students, staff and faculty members are made aware and are given free cloth bags for their usage. Later, the campaign will be continued outside the campus as well in order to spread awareness on a large scale.
