Jalandhar 16 July (Jaswinder Azad)- A delegation of students and two teachers of KanyaMahaVidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar have left for an educational trip to Boston University, USA. The students and faculty have been invited by Boston University as a result of the long and meaningful association between the two institution. The group will be staying in Boston University for a fortnight during which the students will participate in various programmes and activities designed and arranged specially for them. They will attend talks by experts in the field of community service, team building and occupational therapy. Dr. Gopi Sharma, Dean International Affairs and Mr. PardeepArora are accompanying the group. While at Boston, the students will also meet the officials at the International Admissions Office of Boston University too explore the possibility of continuing their educational in America. There will be programmes for appraising are students about the American Culture and Vice-versa.
The trip aims to provide significant international exposure to the students while promoting co-operation between the two institutions and paving way for many more collaborative ventures including admission of students and bilateral exchange of joint events in the future. The students will savour campus and student life in America while participating in several academic, social and cultural events that are sure to make their trip highly, eventful, informative as well as engaging.
Principal KMV Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, wished the group a successful and enjoyable trip. She informed that KMV already has tie-ups with American institutions as a part of which the students can get admission in Chatham University, USA with their credits of first year transferred to that University. She also apprised that this trip to Boston University is also a step in that direction.
