Jalandhar 13 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Students of diverse departments of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar expressed their compassionate thoughts about the importance of freedom with a team of Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar. They had an interactive session with Mr. Raman Kumar, renowned news reader of Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar. The ignited young minds expressed innumerable amount of respect to all the martyrs like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai and many others for their unforgettable sacrifices in gifting liberty of thoughts to all the coming generations. Along with this, their disappointment with the prevailing corruption, discrimination on the basis of caste and religion, inflation etc. also marked their thoughts. They said we need to fulfill the dreams of all the martyrs by eliminating all the evils of society and making India a better place to live in. These thought provoking ideas were reflected by students Sahib Singh, B.Com. Sem. I, Htiika Chopra, B.Sc. (Eco) Sem. V, Ria Sharma, B.A. Sem. I, Jainev, B.Com. Sem. III, Hancy, BPT Sem. I, Amandeep Kaur, B.A. Sem. I, Shefali, B.A. Sem. V, Anush, B.A. Sem. I, Rapunzal Grover, B.A. Sem. I, Bimalpreet Kaur, M.Com. Sem. III, Diksha Puri, B.Com. (Prof.) Sem. V, Manvinder Singh, B.Com. (Prof.) Sem. V, and Charu Verma. Principal Dr. Sucharita extended her views that it is the duty of every Indian to contribute as much as in the development of the country by staying honest and working quite hard in their respective fields.
