More than 60 students participated and were exposed to theoretical as well as practical aspects
Jalandhar 21 September (Jaswinder Azad)- 6-Day theatre workshop was organized by the CT Group of Institutions in association with Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi (PSNA) at the Shahpur Campus. The workshop was organized under the supervision of the Department of Cultural Affairs and assisted by Bohemians Theatre’s Pupil Association. The aspiring actors got a golden opportunity to polish their artistic skills by interacting with Renowned Actor, Director & Writer Mr. Preet Pal Rupana (Trainer at National School of Drama) and Mr. Gurwinder Singh (Theatre Activist). 60 students of the College learnt the art of expressions, execution of dialogues on stage, mind and body coordination, poetic scenes enactment etc.
The students of the Department of Theatre exhibited their talent on stage by depicting a scene of Domestic Violence. They gave a message that theatre does not need any specific language to express abstract ideas. Not only this, they beautifully presented a poetic scene to show hardships of marriage life that made the lady to kill her. Mr. Preet Pal Rupana addressed the benevolent gathering that theatre can make anything possible with the strength of artistic skills and in this workshop he shared his experience of 40 years with all the aspiring students.

Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) expressed his gratitude to the experts Mr. Preet Pal Rupana and Mr. Gurwinder Singh for their precious guidance to the students and said such events are need of the hour to promote and preserve Punjabi literature and theatre. In the end, students were honoured with certificates provided by Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi.
