Jalandhar 28 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The MAC Forum of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized Theme based Choreography Competition. This was an inter-class competition for the students of Commerce and Management. Before the commencement of this competition, the MAC Forum awarded 55 badges to students. 9 teams from various classes participated in the competition. Through their performances these students highlighted various social issues like drugs, women safety, foreign brands, importance of education in classrooms etc. Students participated with great vigor and enthusiasm.
Principal, Dr. Sucharita was the Chief Guest of the Competition. The judges for the competition were Dr. Sunit, Head, Department of English, Dr. Santosh Vyas, Assistant Prof. in Dance and Mr. Kranti Pal Singh. Principal Dr. Sucharita appreciated the efforts of the students and talked about the role of mobile phones in bringing people close electronically yet distancing them emotionally. Such group events connect students socially and emotionally. Such events show that the future of the nation is in secure hands. She also congratulated the students of the various committees of the Economic Forum and MAC Forum on receiving badges. She told the students that receiving these badges is not only an honour but also a matter of responsibility. The first prize in the competition was bagged by Dance Warriors (BBA Sem. III), second prize was bagged by Team Outlook (B.Com. Sem. III) and third prize was bagged by Desi Kalakars (B.Com. Sem. I). Consolation prize was awarded to Team Stardom (B.Com. Sem. I).
