Jalandhar 12 January (Jaswinder Azad)- A Lohri function was organized by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, Ladhewali here today. The event was celebrated with great fervor and gaiety. The students from various departments of the campus participated in different competitions like kite flying, Gidda, singing traditional songs etc. The function started with a bhangra performance by the students of Journalism & mass communication. Dr. Jyoteesh Malhotra, Associate Dean of the campus extended his greetings on the eve of Lohri to all the students and the staff present on the occasion. He further added that Lohri is a mark of new beginning and the students should pledge to make this year fruitful in all possible ways. The students came traditionally dressed for the occasion.
