Workshop for students of MCA and MBA on digitally enabled Cashless Economic System

Jalandhar 2 February (Jaswinder Azad)- Looking at the current scenario on digitalisation, a workshop was organised for students of  MCA and MBA under Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan (VISAKA). More than 100 students participated in the wokshop. The workshop was organised to motivate the students to use digitally enabled cashless systems of transactions. Officials from Videocon Telecom were invited to address the students. Mr. Puneet Mahajan , Zonal Business Manager, Videocon, highlighted the importance of digital transactions in Telecom industry. He encouraged the students to  view digital financial literacy as an opportunity to bring about social change. He emphasized on the different modes of cashless payments in the telecom sector. He educated the students on how to use e-wallets for making  payments.  He talked about the various initiatives taken by Government to make India a Cashless Economy and various incentives and convenience associated with online transactions. The aim of the workshop was to encourage the students to make them adopt e-payments as a change of habit and not as a last option in a cashless crisis situation.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga , Director Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus appreciated the efforts of the Faculty from MCA Department for organising the workshop. He also said this workshop would be very helpful in taking steps towards making India a cashless economy. Mr. Jyoti Punjani and Mr. Ashwani Jaswal, Zonal Sales Managers were also present to share their experience and knowledge.
