Jalandhar 30 May (Jaswinder Azad)- NSS Unit of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar had organized Free Classes for the needy students from February to May 2017 of this year. The social cause imparted free education to the children of labourers, housemaids, people BPL. Apart from Dr. Apra, the Dean, NSS Unit of the College, teachers and students of the college also contributed their bit in teaching the unprivileged class. The class of 35 children was given one week training of computers along with some sports activities at the conclusion of the course. Principal Dr. Sucharita lauded the efforts of the NSS Unit and opined that such noble cause is necessary for carrying out the social responsibility of an institution. The students were awarded certificates and the event concluded with Dr. Sucharita, Principal showering due appreciation on Dr. Apra, Dean NSS Unit. The same session will be continued after the summer vacations.
