CT Group’s step towards Green Energy
Jalandhar 27 June (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Group is pushing the use of renewable energy to reduce its carbon footprint. The group has installed solar power plant of 100 KW that will produce 1.5 lakh unit of electricity every year. Taking it as an initiative towards the green energy, CT Group has installed the first solar energy power plant by NXT Solutions at its CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shahpur Campus.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group), Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group) in the presence of other members of the management and faculty inaugurated the plant.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) said, “Following the path of our Revered Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi to establish India as a global leader in solar energy, by driving the policy conditions and technology. We have taken this step in order to take a bright step towards green energy that will help in reducing the quotient of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere that leads to make environment more Eco-Friendly and save our energy resources as well.” He said that the project will be continued and will be other institutions of CT Group as well.
Notably, Government of India has already launched The Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (National Solar Mission) on 11th January, 2010 with a target of 20GW by 2022 which was later increased to 100 GW in 2015 Union budget of India.
