Jalandhar 25 July (Gurkirat Singh)- 6 out of 6 students were girls, and 17 "students got first division". They had a cake cutting party with the Principal and teachers. It was like a festival in the college because a new history was created in the college with the students of MA economics second semester occupying first 6 positions in the university second semester exams. This is in itself an exclusive record , that the same college booked all the merit University positions in the semester exams. The entire institution is feeling indeed gratified at this golden achievement "Vaishali Rishi" secured first position in university with 84.5%. "Divya Narula " scored 80.2% and secured second position in the university ."Varsha" scored 78.3% marks and got 3rd position in the university ."Kulwinder Kaur" scored 77.1% and got 4th position in the university. "Komal Sethi"secured Fifth position in University by securing 74.8% marks. "Harpreet " secured sixth position in University with 71.5% marks. Principal Dr S K Arora quoted " I am immensely proud of you all. This department has been the best always with a creative long term approach and I congractulate the students and thier faculty and families on their great result. Our college has always been at its best to provide conducive environment to the students and help them always. In the history of academic achievements, this day has been stated as the Golden day in the history of DAV College Jalandhar. In the end principal Dr A K Arora, Vice Principal Prof Vijay Sareen congractulated the students on this golden achievement and to the economics faculty - HOD Dr khurana, Dr Sanjeev Dhawan, Prof S J Talwar, Prof Naveen Sood, Prof Monika Prof Seema and Prof Deepali. Prof Dr Khurana quoted " To create interest in the subjects was our priority, and we never compromised with their studies . We organised free classes on Sundays even which enhanced their concepts of economics and they gained basic knowledge. The free specials classes under "Indian Economics Services" enhanced thier concept knowledge and fetched wonderful University results for us"
