Jalandhar 22 August (Gurkirat Singh)- Innocent Hearts Group of Institution organized Blood grouping Camp at its Loharan Campus. In this camp more than 1000 students & teachers participated and tested their Blood Groups. Such type of camp was organized for the first time in the area.HOD of MLS Department, Mr Harpreet Singh Burmi told the students & teachers that the composition of blood is same for all groups but still their are intotal eight different blood groups namely A+ve, A-ve, B+ve, B-ve, AB+ve, AB-ve, O+ve, O-ve. The motive behind this type of camp was if someone gets injured or met with an accident or any kind of critical situation and get conscious, no time is wasted in testing his/her blood group as the person himself can tell the doctor about the blood group. Through this blood grouping camp we collected the database of 1000 students and teachers from Innocent hearts loharan campus. Group Director Dr Shailesh Tripathi appreciated the efforts of students and staff members and quoted the examples of the people who lost their lives because both donor and recipient were not aware of their blood groups. Any requirement during an emergency will be just one call away to help them in identifying the donor. He also added that similar camps are planned in future also.
