Jalandhar 29 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The NSS wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated “Swachta Divas” to embark the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The students enthusiastically participated in it and cleaned the college campus. They even took the pledge to keep their surroundings clean otherwise as well. Principal, Dr. Sucharita Sharma, on this occasion said it’s very important for us to enlighten our youth about the historical figures and their teachings in order to light the fire of patriotism in them. The teachings of our great leaders should reach our youth as well. The wave of clean India which has started in our country needs to take its first step from our homes, only then we will be able to achieve the bigger target. She also praised the efforts of students and teachers for successfully organizing the event.
