Jalandhar 22 October (Jaswinder Azad)- On the occasion of Police Smriti Day, a tribute was paid to the martyred police personnel of Punjab Police in DAV College, Jalandhar today. During this, the college teachers and students kept silence for two minutes and paid homage to the policemen who sacrificed their life for the sake of country. On this occasion,Prof. S.K. Middha of Punjabi department and Prof. Rajan Sharma, Dean EMA, Prof. Sukhdev Singh Randhawa were present. Tribute has been paid to the Constable Girdhari Lal, Constable Gurdeep Chand and ASI Jaswinder Singh in the college premises. They were passed out from DAV College, Jalandhar. They passed BA from DAV College, Jalandhar, in the year 1991, 1992 and 1992 respectively. On this occasion, the Principal of the college Dr. S.K. Arora also remembered the sacrifice of the martyrs and said that the entire DAV College is proud of these martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the welfare of the country. He said that the martyred policemen will always be remembered for their sacrifice.
