College Principals Association has urged the Government of Punjab to make full time appointments in colleges

Jalandhar 16 February (Jaswinder Azad)- The Association of College Principals has demanded full pay scales for the 1926 appointments made under the Government Grant in Aid scheme. Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and President, Colleges Principal Association informed about the discussion regarding the same subject in the meeting of GNDU Affiliated Colleges Principal Association. Dr. GS Samra also lauded the Government's decision to pay full scales to the recently appointed Doctors in public hospitals whilst also highlighting the need of a sound health system. He called for same strategy in the field of Education as well as this field is also imperative for the future of our country. The Principal Association has expressed concerns that such a scenario will lead to the colleges having to the services of able teaching faculty who might be forced to look elsewhere for better opportunities and pay scales. College Principals Association has urged the Government of Punjab to make full time appointments in colleges so that the higher education set up of the region can be put on the right track.
