Jalandhar 21 February (Gurkirat Singh)- Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar informed that students from the cultural team of the college were handpicked by Hon’ble Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University to perform a cultural program representing Punjab on the occasion of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s visit to the holy city of Amritsar. As per the program, talented students of the college presented cultural items such as Gidha, Bhangra and Luddi depicting the rich colors of Punjabi folklore in front of the watchful eyes of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. College Principal Dr. GS Samra mentioned the occasion as a proud moment in the history of Lyallpur Khalsa College and also expressed his happiness on welcoming the Prime Minister of a country which is well served and represented by the alumnus of the college. He also thanked Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University for giving this proud opportunity to the college on this momentous occasion and also vowed to keep up such efforts for any such events in the future. Prof. Palwinder Singh, Prof. Harjinder Singh and Prof. Jasneet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
