Jalandhar 27 March (Gurkirat Singh)- DAV College's Commerce Forum organised an Inter College Competition 'FESToCOMM' in which DAV College won overall trophy, MGN college stood first runner up and both HMV College and KMV College stood second runner up. More than 200 students from 20 colleges participated in this Gala Event. In this function Mayor of Jalandhar Sh. Jagdeesh Raja and famous Punjabi singer Sh. Pammi Bai were the Chief Guest. Principal Dr. SK Arora, Vice Principal and HOD Prof. VK Sareen and President of Commerce Forum Prof. Ekjot Kaur welcomed the Chief Guest.The function began with enlightenment of lamp by Principal Sir Dr. SK Arora, Vice Principal and HOD Prof. VK Sareen and President of Commerce Forum Prof. Ekjot Kaur along with our worthy Guests. Principal Dr. SK Arora welcomed all the dignities and guests from the other colleges and said that college regularly organises such Gala Events for overall grooming of students. Such events give platform to the students to showcase theirs talents. He gave his best wishes to all the students for their bright future. In this event various events were organised like Business Quiz, Business Plan, Powerpoint Presentation, Cartoon Making, Group Discussion, Cooking without fire Competition, Selfie Contest, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Theme based Choreography and Modelling in which student of various colleges participated enthusiastically. Vice Principal and HOD of Commerce department Prof. VK Sareen has extended his happiness on organising such a successful Gala Event. He said that 'FESToCOMM 2k18' has been organised for the first time and such events will become a regular practice in upcoming years. He also congratulated Commerce Department for the success of this event. Chief guest Mayor Sh. Jagneesh Raja addressed the students that Youth is future of new India. The worls needs intellectual youbg minds to strengthen the foundation of global economy. He suggested the students to stay focused towards your aim. Success only comes with commitment to work.He gave wishes for the successful future of the students.
