Jalandhar 26 March (Gurkirat Singh)- Dr. Vikrant Sharma, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology at GNA University added one more feather to his cap by being conferred with the “Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award” from Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna (Director AICTE) and S. Gurbans Singh Sobti (Trade Commissioner) Canadian High Commission. Dr. Vikrant expressed his gratitude to Almighty and to his Guru Ji Sant Baba Dalel Singh Ji Maharaj for his consistent positive energy. He also thanked his Research Supervisor, Dr. Dalveer Kaur who constantly guided him and encouraged him throughout the entire course of doctoral study. He also expressed his gratefulness to worthy Pro-Chancellor S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra and Vice Chancellor Dr. V.K. Rattan, as well for their belief in his capabilities and giving him the platform to explore more horizons of his excellence. Dr. Vikrant has been twice awarded the “Best Teacher Award” for his outstanding achievements in the field of Technical Education & Research. Also Dr. Vikrant Sharma was conferred with “Research Scientist Award 2016” for his outstanding achievements in the field of research. He received the “PIT CREW AWARD” in Moon Buggy Race 2010 at Huntsville, Alabama, U.S.A. He has accomplished his Ph.D. degree from I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University in the field of Optical Communication Systems. He has an experience of more than 18 years in the field of Technical education. He is life time member of ISTE and IETE. He has published 60 Research papers in various National, International Journals & Conferences. He is even a reviewer of number of international and national reputed journals.
