The programme aims to improve the skills of teachers by organizing faculty training, making improvement in curriculum and laying emphasis on practical training to students by providing access to specialised infrastructure and consumables. We have got this glorious status after a presentation made at Gargi College, New Delhi on May 08,2018. While awarding the Star Status, the authorities lauded KMV for ample addition of new practicals for each department, interdisciplinary activities, connectivity via social media for the benefit of the students etc. They also were appreciative that the final year students were designated as mentors for the new entrants and have helped the juniors with their projects and related activities. The college has also been appreciated for having organized inter-college competitions where students are encouraged to perform as these activities have provided an impetus to more students to get interested in basic sciences. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi further adumbrated that KMV has the honour of being the first women college of the region to offer science way back in 1950.
