Jalandhar 18 June (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar where instilling moral values and patriotism is an established norm, is hosting ten day Annual Training Camp of 2Pb(G) BN NCC Jalandhar. The camp is being attended by girl cadets of the whole of Doaba region of Punjab. 525 NCC cadets( from 35 institutions i.e. 23 collegs and 12 schools) from Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Nawanshahr are being trained in various disciplines like Drill, firing, map-reading, field craft-battle craft, health a hygiene etc. Their day began with yoga practice early in the morning. The routine training began with the opening address by the camp commandant Col. Atul Shah who is also co 2Pb(G) BN NCC Jalandhar. He instructed the cadets to observe unity and discipline not only during the camp but also make it a part and parcel of their lives. He briefed them about the routine training and emphasized that they would definitely emerge as better and more confident individuals after the completion of their training. Sh. Ranbir Singh and the army staff under him is looking after the administrative as well as the training aspect of the camp. Alongwith training, various competitions in different avenues like firing, drill, sports and cultural activities will be organized to explore the hidden talent of the youth. Mrs Seema Jain on this occasion extended her best wishes and stated that KMV’s aim is to empower young women and make them a valuable asset for the society. Madam Seema Arora, Incharge KMV NCC unit was also present on this occasion.
