Punjab Centre for Migration, Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a special literary program

Jalandhar 17 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Punjab Centre for Migration, Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a special literary program that saw eminent overseas Punjabi story writer S. Jarnail Singh interact with students of the college. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra duly welcomed S. Jarnail Singh to the institution. While interacting with the students of the college S. Jarnail Singh recalled how the overseas governments were biased in their treatment of the multi-cultural society of Canada in the years gone by. He then also duly mentioned the change in attitude of the present day government which has encouraged the flourishing of all sects of the society. This has lead to the overseas born Punjabi generations connecting to the Punjabi literature halfheartedly. He also shared his creative process behind his art of story writing. Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Convener, Punjab Centre for Migration assured that the centre will continue to bridge the distances among Punjabis settled all over the globe. Dr. Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Head, Department of Punjabi, Prof Gopal Singh Buttar and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.
