Jalandhar 24 February (Gurkirat Singh)- The Zeal of winning National Youth Festival Championship brought smile on the faces of Apeejayites. Association of Indian Universities organized 33rd National Youth Festival in which talented Apeejayites earned huge appreciation and grabbed the overall championship. Faculty members and students of the college warmly welcomed the proud makers of the College. Filled with pride, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar gave full credit of earning fame in the cultural field to Apeejay as the students of the college play a vital role in representing GNDU in cultural activities like Youth Festivals. Dr. Amita Mishra and Dr. Arun Mishra shared their views that near about 1600 students from 87 universities of the nation participated in this venture but GNDU grabbed the first position and received the championship trophy from Mr. Raghubar Dass, Chief Minister, Jharkhand. Along with this, eminent personalities like Amar Kumar Bauri, Revenue and Land Reforms, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister of Jharkhand, Mr. Sampson David, Joint Secretary, Association of Indian Universities were also present. College students grabbed first position in 10 items, second position in 2 items and third position in 2 items and got 99 points whereas runner up team got 65 points only. College also grabbed individual trophies of Music and Fine Arts. Principal Dr. Sucharita expressed her gratitude to Dr. Arun Mishra, Dr. Amita Mishra and appreciated the efforts of college alumnus Anadi Mishra whose untiring efforts paved a way to achieve this goal. She also wholeheartedly congratulated the winners who had worked hard without any constraints of time to earn this accomplishment.
