KMV Book Bank distributes books to students

Jalandhar 25 July (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar Book Bank which operates under the aegis of the Dept. of Student Welfare distributed free books to the students. Mr. Chander Mohan, President Arya Shiksha Mandal and KMV Managing Committee who graced the occasion appreciated the Department of Student Welfare for this Philanthropic endeavour. He averred that distributing books free-of-cost is the most charitable act and all students must contribute to this noble cause. Activities, such as the present one, sensitize the students to be responsible human beings. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that KMV's Book Bank is operational throughout the year. Students deposit the syllabus oriented books of their previous classes in the Book Bank and those who used the books can get them from here without having to buy them. The students are given books free of cost. This is a great service to the needy students. Moreover students become aware of their duties as responsible citizens. As the new session has commenced the KMV Book Bank put up an exhibition of books of all subjects. As many as 500 students donated their old books and 400 students got books on various subjects like English, History, Chemistry, Maths etc. This exhibition will continue for 10 days. Students will continue donating and collecting more books in this duration. She lauded Dr. Madhumeet, Dean student Welfare, Dr. Iqbal, HOD Punjabi, Dr. Neetu Chopra, Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, Mr. Pardeep, Dr. Sonik and Ms. Gurline for this humanitarian initiative. She also appreciated the students council for being involved in the flawless functioning of book Bank.
